At the Show: Exhibits

This week's two exhibits are from the 2012 Good Sam Show. Photos courtesy of Connie Sauve, Exhibit Chairman. The two exhibitors used the same structure, and finished it in completely different ways.  Both are a delight to see.

The first exhibit "Lavender's Lace & Trims is by Pat Hausman of Fullerton, CA.  She is a member of Mini-Imaginations in Torrance, CA.  "This was a basic club project," Pat tells us. "The structures were the same underneath. But all were finished differently front and back. Lots of fun. The exhibit is 1:12 scale and measures 12-inches wide, 9-1/2 inches deep, and stands 11-1/2 inches high.

The second 1:12 scale exhibit "Potted Barney" is by Jenifer MacLowry of La Habra, CA. She, too, is a member of Mini-Imaginations of Torrance, CA. "This was a club project based on an article from Dollhouse Miniatures magazine," Jenifer says. "My decorating was inspired by Pottery Barn catalogs which in turn helped create the story and title."

Charming interior shop wall with painting of flowers in pot and almost identical fresh flowers in a vase on the sideboard. Its top is delightfully loaded with wines, cheeses, breads, and fresh grapes. The box of corks and upside-down empty wine bottles in a basket on the floor are clever touches.
