Students will make a full spread of tropical party foods for their dining room table or patio, and all the bits and pieces left behind to put on their counters and stoves. Foods include tropical drinks in pineapple shells, tropical fruit salad served in coconut bowls, West Indian phlouries with mango chutney, Jamaican meat pies, and shish kabobs of chicken and fresh veggies and fruit. The kitchen mess includes the rinds and seeds from the fruits, the tops of the pineapples and dirty sauce pans and fry pans.
